The Mom Egg/100 Thousand Poets for Change-New York, New York

The Mom Egg, an annual journal of poetry, fiction and creative prose by and about mothers, will be doing a benefit reading for the Museum of Motherhood, temporarily located at “pop-up” quarters 401East 84thSt.(at1stAve.LowerLevel) www.MOMmuseum.org, on Saturday, September 24 th from 7-8:30pm.

The purpose of this reading is to bring attention to the need for a museum to acknowledge the vital role of mothers. The event will be hosted by Mom Egg editor Marjorie Tesser.

Featured readers will be Alana Free, Carla Carlson, Jessica Feder Birnbaum, Linda Dorf, Lisa Williams, Lynne Shapiro, Rosalie Calabrese, Stephanie Feuer, Theta Pavis, Wendy Levine DeVito.

There will be an open mic as well (sign up at the beginning of the reading). Info at www.themomegg.com.
