SEPTEMBER 5
Poet Michael Rothenberg talks about “One Hundred Thousand Poets for Change”: “Poets, musicians & artists around the world are planning individual events to take place simultaneously on Sept. 29th in a demonstration & celebration of poetry, music & art to promote social, environmental & political change.” Rothenberg and Terri Carrion are founders of the movement. In addition to the world-wide events on Sept. 29th, there will also be three days of poetry, art, music, and dance at the Arlene Francis Center, 99 6th Street, in Santa Rosa: Sept. 28, 29, & 30. “Join us for a global celebration of solidarity for peace & sustainability.” Michael will join Jack to read poems honoring change.
